He inquired of them, a ‘fourth’ by Koidesh - רביעי בקודש בעא מינייהו

Summary:
According to תוספות the שרץ touched the כנף, the כנף touched either the לחם or נזיד, and they in turn touched יין or שמן, who in turn touched כל מאכל (a רביעי).
