מצוה לקיים דברי המת applies only if the grantor died before the recipient; however דברי שכ"מ כמסורין דמו applies even if the recipient died before the grantor.

The תנא of the ברייתא may omit a word, therefore where there is room for doubt we may consider that there was an omission. An אמורא may also omit if he is quoting a ברייתא.
