תוס' ד"ה לא

He did not create it for a waste; he formed it to be settled - לא תוהו בראה לשבת יצרה

Summary:
The משנה cites שבת (instead of פו"ר) because, a) שבת is the deciding factor to force the master to free him, b) שבת is a מצוה רבה, and c) there is a חיוב of שבת on the עבד (ושפחה), but no חיוב of פו"ר.

We force his master and he makes him a free man - כופין את רבו ועושה אותו בן חורין

Summary:
We say חטא בשביל שיזכה חברך if the חבר was not negligent or it is preventing a רבים from sinning.

For everyone agrees that a G’zayroh Shovoh is preferable - דכולי עלמא גזירה שוה עדיפא

Summary:
Generally הקישא עדיפא, however here, since the entire concept of שטר by עבד is derived from this גז"ש, therefore רבא can say גז"ש עדיפא.
