תוס' ד"ה עדות

Testimony which come from the strength of a presumption - עדות הבאה מכח חזקה

Summary:
עדות הבא מכח חזקה means that we know he is a כהן since the one who read after him was מוחזק to be a לוי.

תוס' ד"ה שקרא אחריו

That a Levi read after him - שקרא אחריו לוי

Summary:
According to the ר"י הלוי, when there is no כהן the עליות are in order of the prominence of the עולים.

תוס' ד"ה שקרא לפניו

That a kohain read before him - שקרא לפניו כהן

Summary:
If a כהן receives one עליה we can be certain that the following עליה was given to a לוי.

תוס' ד"ה הרי

He said, this is my son and he is a Kohain - הרי שאמר בני זה וכהן הוא

Summary:
A מגו is not effective (by עדים) if they admit they are relatives. However the מגו of בידו is effective.

תוס' ד"ה נאמן א

He is believed to feed him Terumah - נאמן להאכילו בתרומה

Summary:
רבי rules that the father alone is believed to be מאכיל תרומה to his son , but he is not believed להשיאו אשה . We can maintain that whether מעלין מתרומה דרבנן to תרומה דאורייתא or not, is dependent on whether we maintain מעלין מנש"כ ליוחסין or not, or we can differentiate between תרומת דתוי"צ of א"י, from which we are מעלה even to יוחסין, and תרומת חו"ל from which we are not מעלה even to תרומת דתוי"צ דרבנן of א"י.

תוס' ד"ה נאמן ב

He is believed to feed him Terumah - נאמן להאכילו בתרומה

Summary:
רבי, who maintains that the father is believed to be מאכיל תרומה to his son, may be arguing with the משנה in קדושין which requires a ראיה, or that משנה follows the view of ר"י (that אין מעלין לכהונה ע"פ ע"א), [or that sרבי' case is when the wife is here].

תוס' ד"ה שבידו

For it is in his power to feed him Terumoh - שבידו להאכילו בתרומה

Summary:
Regarding כהונה the power of בידו extends even לאחר מיתה when it is no longer בידו (as opposed to בכור where it is limited to the בידו).
