תוס' ד"ה שהכל

That He created everything for His honor, and He forms man - שהכל ברא לכבודו ויוצר האדם

Summary:
The rule of ברכה הסמוכה לחברתה (it does not begin with ברוך) does not apply if the preceding ברכות are short, if they are said sometimes by themselves, or not in the sequence. והערב is not a separate ברכה.

The one who maintains חדא יצירה הואי is of the opinion that פרצוף אחד נברא.

Rav is a Tannah, and argues - רב תנא הוא ופליג

Summary:
The ברייתא of 'ואבלים מן המנין' does not seem to be discussing ברהמ"ז. Our ר"י was an אמורא and considered רב to be an אמורא as well.
