תוס' ד"ה ואיכא

And there are those who say, he was a minor - ואיכא דאמרי קטן היה

Summary:
The other view was that this slave was a minor. תוספות continues to cite פרש"י and to subsequently disagree.

And this is what he is informing us; through others, yes, etc. - והא קא משמע לן על ידי אחרים אין כולי

Summary:
Initially we assumed there was also a חידוש in בכסף ע"י אחרים; the conclusion is that the only חידוש is ע"י עצמו לא.

תוס' ד"ה רבי

Rabi Shimon Ben Elozor states, even by a note, through others but not through himself, and there are three views in this matter - רבי שמעון בן אלעזר אומר אף שטר על ידי אחרים ולא על ידי עצמו ושלש מחלוקות בדבר

Summary:
It is certainly a three way מחלוקת if we are גורס in the ברייתא the word אף, and even if not since the חכמים argue with רשב"א regarding גיטו וידו, we cannot refer to רשב"א as the חכמים. The חכמים must maintains גיטו וידו באין כאחד so the הלכה should follow the רבים.
